Terms for parents
Last updated 18 October 2026. This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice.
- Trophora Academy is a free football game for children aged 5 to 12. There is nothing to buy.
- It is meant to be set up and supervised by a parent or carer, who agrees to these terms.
- Everything in it is made up: no real clubs, players or competitions.
1. Who we are
Trophora Academy is provided by Alexander Ifidon, a sole trader trading as Trophora, 52 Larden Road, London W3 8HJ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
2. Who it is for
The game is made for children aged 5 to 12, and it is available worldwide. A parent or carer should set it up, choose the settings in the grown-ups' area, and agree to these terms for their child. These terms are separate from Trophora's terms: Trophora (trophora.com) is for ages 13 and over.
3. It is free
Trophora Academy is free to play. It has no adverts, no in-game purchases, no coins and no subscriptions. If we ever offer anything paid, a parent would have to buy it, behind the parent gate, after we have updated these terms. Children will never be able to buy anything in the game.
4. Using the game
- We give you a personal, non-commercial licence to use the game on your family's devices.
- Please don't copy, resell or misuse the game, or try to break or tamper with it.
- The game is saved only on your device. If the device is lost or reset, or its data is cleared, the progress is gone. We can't recover it, because we never have a copy.
5. Card swaps and shared codes
- Card swaps are off until a grown-up switches them on. They work only face to face, by showing and scanning a QR code, one card for one card.
- Player cards have no money value. They must not be sold, bought or traded for anything outside the game.
- Swaps happen offline, so we can't reverse or referee them. If a swap isn't finished on both devices, both players may end up with the same card.
- "Play my team" codes are copied by a parent and shared by that parent. Only share them with people you know.
6. Graduating to Trophora
When your child is 13 or older, you can make a graduation file in the grown-ups' area. Your teen can import it into their own Trophora account, which has its own terms and privacy policy. Moving across is optional. It carries only game data, with the player's skills capped, and it does not link any accounts.
7. Made-up content
All clubs, players, places and competitions in Trophora Academy are fictional. The game is not connected to any real club, league, player or football association. Football facts in the game are for learning and fun.
8. Health and breaks
Please help your child take regular breaks. You can set a break reminder in the grown-ups' area, and turn on calm mode for less motion and flashing.
9. Changes and availability
We may update the game and these terms. If the terms change in an important way, we will update the date above. We try to keep the game working well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. You also keep your legal rights as a consumer. Otherwise, as the game is free and provided for personal use, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or anywhere else in the world, you keep any protections of your own country's consumer law that cannot be changed by contract, and you may be able to bring a claim in your own courts. See the privacy notice for how the game fits with children's privacy laws in different countries.
